The Association of Old Crows is an organization of professionals who are active in the electronics industry and the electronic defense community.

The AOC actively promotes education in scientific and engineering disciplines.

The Eglin Chapter supports this activity with a strong local Education and Awards program.

There are two components to our local education and awards program:

1) Achievement recognition awards (Crow of the Quarter),

2) Tuition assistance grants to USAF Enlisted members [Temporarily closed for funding]

  • Awards nomination solicitation. Here are the details. It's a PDF.

  • On this page you'll find the latest information about these components. In addition, we'll report on significant awards presented by the Association of Old Crows at the National Level.
  • "Crow of the Quarter"

The purpose of this awards program is to recognize four individuals each calendar quarter --one each from the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), 53d Wing, 46th Test Wing, and Detachment 2 of the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC/Det 2)--for their outstanding contributions in the field of electronic warfare (EW) including command and control (C2) and other areas of information operations (IO). The winners are recognized in three ways. They receive an individual plaque, their names will be published in the Eglin Chapter's newsletter ("Crow Signals") and web site (www.eglinaoc.org), and their names will appear on a plaque resident in their respective organizations.
